This was our second year staying at English Sea Gardens and once again, we had a wonderful visit to Gloucester! This property is perfect for our family - we have 3 small children and the safe, secluded little yard and fenced in pool were just perfect for us! We didn't even have to leave the property to feel like we were still on vacation and having fun.
The home is a very short walk to a beautiful scenic view/walking path along the ocean, and although the ocean is not easily seen from the cottage, you can still feel the ocean breeze, and the great yard and pool make up for the lack of being truly 'oceanfront'.
The only things that would have made it even better would be a lock on the pool gate (we just tied it shut with a belt), and a kitchen floor that is not as slippery when wet - the tiles are extremely slippery even when just slightly wet - and especially when wet little feet come in from the pool - but again, we remedied this by laying a path of towels down on the floor to prevent any accidents.
The property manager who lives in the main house on the property, is very kind, helpful, and non-intrusive. We appreciated his efforts to keep the pool in such great condition.
If we vacation again in Gloucester, we will be staying here again!
